CAPSTONE

For my senior capstone project, I decided I wanted to direct a play. I was kindly invited by my friend, Sage Sperling, to direct a play that they wrote called [Conscious]. This play highlights the struggles of an atypical, non-conforming being and their relationships with various people, each of which not quite reaching the right level of understanding. Our goal with this production is to portray the story of invisible struggle, while also highlighting the trends in relationships with reliable versus unreliable people. We also hope to inspire people to keep fighting, push through troublesome times, and to never stop pursuing their passions no matter what anyone tells them.​ Our production of [Conscious] was fully imagined and designed by Sacred Heart University students, with aspects including lights, sound, projections, and music by the band Autoheart. I am so honored to have directed this beautiful work of art, and I hope I get to return to it with Sage in the future.
